Jim and Cindy Wilkins have operated Otter Creek Outfitters for
18 years as a family business. We are based in Otter, which is located
in Powder River County in southeastern Montana at the southern end
of Custer National Forest. We have managed many private leases and
permitted areas for trophy animals during the 18 years we've been
in business. Strict game management is the key to great
hunting.
This area has been known for producing large, heavy-horned mule
deer for a very long time. The feed and genetics are the perfect
recipe for massive antler growth. We offer mule deer, antelope,
wild turkey (Merriams), varmint hunting (coyote and prairie dog),
and fly fishing for rainbow and brown trout.

Jim, a second generation outfitter, learned to hunt and fish from
his dad, also an outfitter. Flyfishing and bowhunting are his passions.
Jim loves to hunt and fish and shares his enthusiasm with clients
from all over the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe. Good hearty food,
the success of their customers and the comfortable accommodations
reflect Jim and Cindy's sincerity and dedication. They care about
the wildlife and the country as much as they care about taking great
care of their clients.
Our primary fishing is on the
world famous Big Horn River in S.E. Montana. We have comfortable
accommodations in Ft. Smith for our anglers and guides. We use drift
boats to float from the afterbay downstream. While most anglers
prefer fly fishing on the Big Horn, we also guide spin fishermen.
